Roofing in Virginia

by administrator

The Commonwealth of Virginia (VA) is one of our most history filled states. Virginia played a major role in each of the main wars that our country fought and is also home to some of America’s first settlements.

The state of VA ranges in terms of the roofing materials used. As is similar to Maryland and North Carolina (it’s bordering states) Virginia has coast and flatlands on the eastern side of the state and the Appalachian mountains on the west.

Virginia Roofing

Today I want to touch upon roofing in Virginia. Mainly because I was spending some research time in the Washington DC area, for the last post about Maryland roofing companies.

Virginia is very large State with varying climates. You have the Mid-Atlantic beach area of Virginia Beach. Which they call the Tidewater area, Hampton Roads, Norfolk, Chesapeake etc. This area has a trend of more traditional shingles roofing approach. The salty ocean air can do too much damage to some other types of roofing materials.

Then you have Northern Virginia / the DC suburb area. With many high class homes in older areas like Alexandria and Arlington and traditional modern housing in areas like Fairfax and Reston, you mainly see here slate roofing, some sheet metal (industrial) and shingles.

In the western and south western parts of Virginia, in the Appalachian mountain areas, you see a lot of metal roofing, steel roofing, aluminum, some copper roofing and sheet metal.

The company referenced in Maryland Roofing - Maggio - also services much of Virginia. And again they get the Seal of Approval from LocalRoofCompanies.com. We are also giving the LocalRoofCompanies.com Seal of Approval to Katchmark Construction and Marty’s Custom Roofing. Good companies with standing reputations.
